How we look after your information.

This notice explains what personal information Anova Kitchens collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it, as the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) requires.

Who we are

What we collect, and why

When you ask for a quote. The form asks for your name, your email address, optionally a phone number, the kind of project and anything you'd like to tell us about it. If you contact us on WhatsApp, by email or by phone, we receive what you send, which may include photographs and measurements of your home. We use it to answer you, to arrange a consultation and to prepare a quote, and, if you go ahead, to plan and carry out the work. Giving it is voluntary, but without a way to reach you we can't reply.

When you visit the website. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where from (to the city, not the street), on what kind of device, and how visitors found us. It sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell one visit from another. Google Analytics does not record or store your IP address. We use this only in aggregate, to improve the site.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you have agreed to receive them.

Who else sees it

Your request reaches us by email through our email provider. Google processes the analytics data on our behalf. Both may store information on servers outside South Africa, under data-protection terms of their own. We share your details with the people working on your project only as far as the work needs them.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for, or as long as the law requires us to keep records. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Analytics account and then deleted automatically.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our using it. Write to info@anovakitchens.co.za. You can stop Google Analytics on any website by blocking its cookies in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za.

Keeping it safe

This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Requests are emailed to us and are not stored on the website.
